Christian Counseling Debt And What The Scripture Say

Christian Counseling Debt and The Bible

“Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.” Matthew 18:27

Is debt biblical? It is not a sin to be in indebtedness but the Bible does have a lot to say about being good stewards of what we have been blessed with. The greater sin is being too prideful to admit your need and your current financial state and look for help or advice. There are Christian counseling centers to aid with Christian debt elimination. The sooner you can get help the sooner bills and debts can be corralled and brought under restraint. It is a humbling experience to go through, but others share this same experience. We learn from our trials to better serve the Lord and to reinforce our faith. If you have a financial problem do not hesitate to seek Christian Counseling Debt because someday you may be able give spiritual or financial aid to a fellow Christian, family member or co-worker.

“The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender.”
Proverbs 22:7

We are called to spend wisely. Often times we see ourselves in debt for perfectly legitimate reasons. There could be an illness, rendering you unable to work. In these precarious times, we are seeing more and more people being laid off or hours cut substantially. There are regular monthly payments that are due and we may find we do not enough to pay them. Sometimes credit cards are used to pay bills and the debt begins to build. It can become overwhelming and a Christian debt elimination service may be needed.

Pray First

"Listen to me!, you can pray for anything, and if you believe, you will have it." Mark 11:24

Take all things to the Lord in prayer. Does this denote everything you pray for will be granted? The Lord always answers our prayers, but maybe not in the way we expect or in the time frame we want. Jesus prayed when He was on earth. He prayed while in the wilderness as well as in the Garden of Gethsemane. Jesus prayed that the cup He was about to partake of be taken from Him. He still had to go through what He was sent to do, die for our sins and transgressions. We may still have to prevail some trials for the situation we are in, but He has promised to take care of us.

Counseling degrees can be quite specific. One degree can be for counseling Christian couples wanting to get married. Christian premarital counseling is one of the most important and rewarding aspects of this specialized counseling. Our World Today

There are many things to lure individuals into dangerous situations in today's world that lead to depression, addictions and financial woes. There are more Christians today seeking Christian counseling than ever before and for so many different areas of life. Couples, singles, young adults, teens and even young children are suffering from anxiety and drug addictions.

Offering Biblical Advice

Getting a biblical perspective from a qualified Christian counselor is so important. We may think things are new and situations are vastly different then they were in Old Testament times, but they really aren't. As it says in Ecclesiastes 1:9 "there is nothing new under the sun." The Bible is a rich source of examples with answers and solutions to many of our problems if we are willing to accept them. Ecclesiastes goes on further to say (Ecc 1:14) "I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and vexation of spirit." What the writer is saying is that we are looking within ourselves and at ourselves and only do what feels good for us.

You could be wandering through the wilderness for years if not receiving and applying what you hear to your life. Visit a Christian counselor and get set back in the right direction to a full and happy Christian walk.

By taking heed to godly and biblical counsel you can turn your life around and begin enjoying your relationship with the Lord and serving Him to the fullest. Let go of whatever is hindering you from moving forward.

There is nothing new under the sun, and nothing new to God, look towards him for forgiveness and healing. You will no longer be looking inward, but upward.

Biblical Christian counseling is nothing new. It has been around since biblical times. Consider the roll of the "judges" in the Bible. They were basically counselors, helping to keep those in their midst headed in the right direction.

Having the necessary credentials and degree in Christian Counseling will allow you to help those in need of good solid biblical counseling. It is so rewarding to know what your calling is and be able to fulfill that calling by becoming a certified Christian counselor.
